Founded in IC 2498, upon approval of it's establishment under seal and warrant by the Emperor Luitpold, Gens Fidelis is an officially sanctioned and registered guild on the scrolls of Altdorf holding the charter of "holding and persuing most noble foreign commerce and diplomacy to enrich and embolden the defences of the Empire". While a number of higher-ranking bureaucrats and more than a few burgomeisters were opposed to the potential handing over of diplomatic discussion and a document permitting foreign commerce to a new, unknown entity, Gens Fidelis has subsequently proven itself to be of invaluable aid in securing both economic and military assistance and cooperation between races during both the Storms of Chaos and the newest threat, the Age of Reckoning.
