Welcome!

The Warhammer Gazette (formerly known as The Ostermark Gazette) is here to give roleplayers playing Warhammer Online a place to showcase their writing and art, as well as find and interact with other RPers.

If you are a roleplayer on Ostermark, Phoenix Throne, Vortex (or elsewhere, I can add your server to the list if you send me a PM!), register a new account and then head over to our New Member Walk-Through page to see the recommended path to take to start interacting on the site.

If you run into problems registering (for instance, if you don't receive an email and you've checked to make sure it wasn't caught in a spam filter) or run into any other problems while browsing around the site, be sure to let me know via the Feedback form.

Thanks for stopping by,

Phileas

Some Days It's Best not to Get Out of Bed

Character:

It was chilly when Sieglinde woke up. She could see outside that a frost had covered the ground. She really didn't feel like leaving her warm fur blankets, but she had much to do today. Putting on a silk robe, she stretched her arms out, and went outside to flag down a slave to get her a small wood stove to heat her tent up.

And promptly tripped, her cheek landing roughly on the hard earth. She had failed to notice the greenish bundle outside her tent door.

The bundle stirred and cried out "Wat you kick Zet for? We didz wat da bloo aired boss asked!"

Sieglinde picked herself up as cooly as she could manage, looking around to see if anyone else had seen her fall so embarassingly.  Good, nobody had.

Witness

Character:

Nachhexen 29th

Today I learned the name of the sad man in brown that I have noticed on my trips to the Temple. In the past he has been there, staring at the statue of our Lord Sigmar and praying for what I must determine is some great deal of time since he was always there when I arrived and remained after I rose to leave. At first I thought that perhaps he prayed for a loved one that was taken ill, for the man seemed to exude grief but it seems my deductions were incorrect this time.

How to Fall Deeper into a Trap Without Knowing It

Character:

The trip to Nordland had not gone as planned. Sieglinde had imagined violent lovemaking under a war torn sky, as she and Stanislaw finally were able to consumate their love for each other. Instead, she was left with confusion, bitterness, and tears.

You Talk Too Much

Character:

Sieglinde met the magus outside the cave cautiously. She could tell he was unnaturally thin, even beneath the massive robes he had buried himself in. Even though it looked like his eyes had been cut out, he seemed to see her approach. Around one of the empty sockets was a tattoo, a symbol of Tzeentch. The staff he leaned on emitted wisps of greenish smoke.

A Fist Full of Shinies!

Character:
Zet

Zet flew out of the dark elf camp.  He has seen that look on his new pointy eared boss, the look just before a smashing..
He scurried off towards the humans, dreaming of the piles and piles of shinies he would get..

It was easy for Zet to move among the various humans going about their own business, as long as he avoided getting stepped on.  A few hours passed and Zet finally found his target..
Korik was just as the boss told him, big, human, yelling..  Zet found a good spot to stalk his prey and watched.  The sun was starting to fade.

Change of Scenery

Sieglinde done found her way to the Grey Lady last night, and prowled about it like a cat waitin' fer the mouse ta come outta its hole.  I done caught her 'round back, where Ritter was jottin' somethin' down, and I couldn't hardly believe the anger I felt when that beast of a Witch Elf started makin' threatenin' gestures at her.  I hate Ritter, ain't two ways about that, but she's still got enough resemblance to a woman to warrant a protective urge, I s'pose.

Call to Duty

Character:

Mister Balrik,

I can assure you that the Dawi gods would be less inclined to look after one such as myself but I do appreciate the well-wishes of the other deities you've mentioned. In this age, one needs all the blessings one can get.

Once you go green you never go back

Character:

While ordering some camp slaves to clean up the mess the bloodletter made, it occurrred to Sieglinde that demons don't just summon themselves so far from the Chaos Wastes. Someone had created the gateway for it. Someone who knew she had spent time with Master Gillian. Although their session had lasted a quarter of a day, she had given no evidence of her having been there. No screams of pain, no cries of ecstacy. That means someone had either been following her or had seen her enter his tent. The only person she could remember having seen was Sergeant Korik.

Midnight Encounters

Character:

She had tried sleeping for hours now, but despite how tired she was she couldn't. Sieglinde's mind was racing, and wouldn't stop thinking about the events of the day. Her entire life had been turned upsidedown. She had always been in control, a lioness amoung lambs, striking where she pleased. Ever her commanders in House Eilserv gave her healthy distance, knowing how unstable she was. Master Gillian had changed that. He was no longer Lord Gillian to her, he had broken her and she knew she was now his to command. He had her on an invisible leash. This should anger her, she thought. Where she should have felt rage though, she felt arousal. He had touched her in ways just thinking about made her squirm uncomfortably.

Defiled Memory

Miss Moonshadow,

I pray that all the Gods are lookin' on you and Mister Sunshower with the best of favor.  Your Asuryan, our Sigmar, maybe even the Dwarf Gods if they're so inclined, though I won't dare talk on Their behalf as I don't know 'Em.  Either way, may you both be shielded against evil.

It's a right shame that evil's the only news I got for ya.  I reckon it's more proper to let you know this way, instead of when I see you next, in Nordland, likely.  That there's supposed to be a time to forget about this darkness, if only for a little bit.
